My husband myself and 4 daughters rented this house from Marilyn this summer. We had such a spectacular time.  The house was set up to cater to larger families. The property provided many bedrooms and bathrooms which is something we enjoyed. The kiddos loved using the gameroom and the brand new water slide.

I really apprecaited how responsive they were to me prior to us coming to the Hamptons for our summer vacation during our vacation and even after. We had a marvelous time. Great family facility, Possibly the best VRBO host i've ever experienced:

We stayed here over in July  with 3 other families, and had a wonderful time.  When we arrived, Marilyn's daughter greeted us at the house and walked through a tour of the house and everything we needed to know. This is not typical of most of the VRBO locations we stay in but was actually really appreciated. The facilities of the house were great, including the pool and the game room, with plenty of bedrooms and fold out sleeping spaces. The few times we needed some repairs with the dishwasher etc. Marilyn had someone sent out and arriving at our house within the hour. She even had same day delivery for some frying pans when we couldn't find any in the house! The only feedback I would have for Marilyn would be to maybe invest a little in some of the basic appliances like the microwave and the dishwasher, but everything else was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our days at the Rivers Edge were truly magnificent. As soon as we arrived at the house there was an instant feeling of warmth and friendliness from the owner Marilyn. We loved working with her because she was very helpful in giving us assistance with knowledge about the area and suggested great restaurants to eat in. The rooms are each tastefully decorated and our bed was delicious. I mean literally I did not want to get out because I was so comfy. The showers were hot and had great pressure. We have plans to come back to the Hampton Bays area next summer and will definitely return to enjoy the lovely estate and relax by the pool. The house is relativity close to the ocean and walking distance from the town which is a nice plus. We highly recommend Rivers Edge if you like want a luxury Hamptons vacation with all the amenities at a reasonable price.  See you in 2019 guys. Thanks for a vacation to remember.

Our stay couldn't have been better. My family took a group of our daughters' friends to the house for month of extravagant lifestyle and fun. Marilyn was as nice as could be. What I liked best about her as a landlord was she was available before our stay even began. Her daughter Michelle was also always there to help with valuable tips on how to enjoy the property to its fullest potential and how to make this vacation one to remember. Marilyn and Michelle were available for any questions we had and responded within minutes!  Now let me review the actual property. As for the house and grounds.... the pool, hot tub and volleyball court were perfect. The girls loved the pool, hot tub, arcade games downstairs such as ping pong, pool table, and air hockey. Everyone especially loved having so many bathrooms! We even made time for a beach visit. The beach was very close to the property. I thought our family would have spent more time at the beach but much to my surprise we spent most of our time in the pool. One night the “adults” wanted to enjoy the town. Much to our delight the town was a 10 min walk from the house.  My family and I were coming from California. We knew we would be tired from our flight. We decided to use PeaPod. Our food and supplies were easily and conveniently delivered right into the kitchen! All thumbs up for a great time in Hampton Bays at this terrific house. We would love to book this house again for the summer or 2019.

We rented this house for 2 weeks and we all had a remarkable time. It is a very large house and was able to accommodate many people. The pool is a great size and the patio surrounding the pool had plenty of lounge chairs for use. The hot tub is amazing at night after the kids go to bed and the adults need to relax. The back patio as well as the side patio is a beautiful place to just hang out. We loved to have all our meals outdoors as there was more than enough sitting for a large family. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Most of our time was spent outdoors. All in all, we had an extraordinarily good time. I would also like to point out that Marilyn and Michelle were an absolute delight to work with. My family and I have never dealt with more professional landlords before.  Thanks guys for an amazing summer vacation. Look forward to seeing you next year.

I stayed here for family vacation in August 2015 (extended family of 15). During November 2015 and August 2016 I stayed at another home (Shell House) owned by Marilyn. Those times we were a family of 19. I can't say enough positive things about Marilyn as a landlord and her gorgeous, comfortable houses (and I know because I have also experienced the landlord from hell in Southampton). The houses are spacious, clean, wonderfully decorated and maintained, and fully stocked. Both houses we stayed in have gorgeous, clean swimming pools. During 3 different stays we experienced very few problems (all the product of normal wear and tear on a house), but Marilyn and her maintenance vendors were immediately responsive. Our group ranged in age from 1 to 86 and we all were happily accommodated. The houses are conveniently located in terms of both town and the beach. Rivers Edge has a real bonus for anyone with young children. The volleyball net is set up for beach volleyball in a sandy pit. We never played the game, but the 3-7 year olds had a fabulous time in what amounted to a huge sand box! Shell House has a game room that kept all of the kids (2-20) happy when they weren't in the gorgeous, clean pool. Both homes have at least one first floor bedroom and plenty of bathrooms. I not only would book again, but I have for next summer!

My cousins and I decided that we wanted to do something that we have never done before so we decided to rent a house in the Hamptons. When we first came across this house it seemed too good to be true. The price seemed way to affordable for such a big house. When we contacted the homeowner about the price she informed me that the price was correct. We decided then that we were going to take the house. When we arrived at the house we were in complete awe. Our family had a lovely time during our stay at this house, the amenities were great and we had a warm welcome when we got there. The pool, hot tub, and game room were all above our expectations. We will be going again sometime in the future because we love this house and the Hamptons which we found out is a lively town with so much to do.

Spacious, Beautiful, Comfortable Home

Marilyn was a pleasure to work with! The house was much bigger than the pictures showed. Perfect for a girl's getaway. Beautiful huge backyard with a great pool, hot tub, deck for lounging poolside, multiple patios for outdoor dining, etc. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. This house surpassed our expectations! The location was perfect and very close to everything. I would definitely recommend this house to large families looking for a fun relaxing Hamptons getaway.

Great Rental!!! Great Owner!!! Great House!!!

I can't say enough about how wonderful this house is as well as the owner of the house . Marilyn is great and so professional and responsive. Anytime I called, emailed or even texted she got right back to me. I was hesitant about finding and renting a house from the internet, but after this experience and working with Marilyn, I will rent from her again. The house is what you see in the pictures and more. The pool is beautiful, the house is spotless, beds are comfortable and everything is just great and clean!!!! It fit 12 people perfectly. Everyone was so comfortable. This is a house you can rent, be very happy with and Marilyn is an owner you can trust!!

Hamptons Heavenly Honeymoon

My fiancé and I wanted to go somewhere amazing for our honeymoon. We decided that we wanted to spend our honeymoon in the Hamptons. We spent two lovely weeks in August of 2013 at this lovely home. There is nothing bad that I could say about this house. It was spacious, clean, well kept, and well decorated. This house was in the perfect location. It was close enough to the town of Hampton Bays but also close enough to Riverhead. The owner of the house was very cooperative, if we had a question she would answer all of them without hesitation. During the stay my fiancé and I spent most of our time outside. It was so quite and peaceful. We would sit by the pool and enjoy a glass of wine. I would highly recommend this house to anybody. My fiancé and I were talking and once we start a family we are going to make coming to this house a tradition.

Absolute Perfection

A bunch of my friends and I rented River’s Edge July of 2013. This house was perfect for us for many reasons. The backyard at this house was HUGE. It was perfect for us because we used to love having BBQs and it was nice that we were able to have room for all our guests. The deck was also huge and offered a lot of seating which we found amazing. The inside of the house also offered great amenities such as 42-inch plasma screen TVs in each bedroom. The one thing that my friends are I really loved was the movie library the house provided. The best feature of the house was the pool and the hot tub. My friends and I would literally spend all day near the pool and hot tub. Lastly the location of this house was perfect because it was walking distance to town and also walking distance to the train station which was a huge plus. I give this house a 10 out of 10. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants to have a summer they do not want to forget.

Fantastic Stay

This was a magnificent sprawling home with all amenities anyone could ask for. Starting with the huge pool, 7 person hot tub, sand beach volleyball court, basketball court and amazing recreation room with ping pong, billiards and tons of other games my kids and grand kids enjoyed. We were warmly welcomed by the owner who reviewed all the things in the house. She answered all our questions with great knowledge. She prepared a book of places of interest and restaurants for us. We felt like we were in a five star resort with our own concierge. The house was beautifully decorated and air conditioned perfectly. The bedrooms were huge and the bathrooms had tubs (as well as showers) which my grand-kids loved. This home was the perfect vacation place for all of us. Our large family (i have 5 kids and 7 grand kids) was spacious for all of us. Most of the time I could not find my children as the property and house was so large. We loved the outdoor activities. While my kids played volleyball, I watched my grand kids turn into prunes in the pool. They were so thrilled with all the pool toys. This vacation was a once in a lifetime event as I celebrated my 80th birthday during the month. I loved everything about the house, the grounds and the owner. It is my pleasure to offer this review

Marilyn asked me to write a review and I am very happy to do so. My family rented this house in November which is not the usual rental time in the Hamptons. But, let me tell you it was an extraordinary time to rent. The beaches were empty as we took long walks and watched the surf, there was no wait at any restaurant we went to and the amenities of the house were just as good in November as they must be in the summer, We will definitely be back in the summer to sample. The house was immaculate with crisp linens on the beds. The towels were fluffy and there were lots to use for our entire family. The sand volleyball court was lots of fun to use for our adult children and the grandkids just loved the huge recreation room with almost every game table available. The dining room was large and had enough chairs for our entire large family. As you can see, we just loved the house. Koodos to Marilyn for all the help she provided in finding crib rentals and making restaurant recommendations and reservations. We highly recommend this house for rentals.

Great Hamptons Vacation

Our vacation at this lovely retreat started with days of rain, but even that did not dampen our spirits. The house is so spacious and well laid out that our four generation family was able to do puzzles, play games, watch tv and use the fabulous recreation room which had billiards, ping pong table, foosball table and air hockey table. Things got even better when the sun came out and we could spend time in the huge pool, play volleyball, basketball or just lie around in the hot tub. We even spent time at the beach, just a few minutes drive from the house and sampled the local seafood nearby. Everything in the house including the appliances, beds, linens and furnishings were top of the line. The incrediable peace and quiet surrounding the house, full privacy of the property and area made us reluctant to leave. The owner was always available by phone and always very helpful. Our family loved the house and would highly recommend it.

POOL WAS THE ABSOLUTE HIT

My family just loved the pool. My boys stayed in the pool until they looked like prunes. My husband, sister and brother-in-law played volleyball on the sand beach volleyball court almost every day. I lived in the huge 7 person hot tub with my daughter. What a vacation this was. We were worried that September weather might be uncertain; But, we had a wonderful time both inside and outside the house. The house is really big with 5 bathrooms. The girls no longer had to wait in line for a bathroom. The recreation room with billiard table, ping pong table, foosball table and lots of other games kept my boys up until the wee hours of the morning. We are all still talking about the wonderful memories we have of this home and our vacation. The convienent location to town was great. We were able to walk to the supermarket, get coffee at the Starbucks and walk to the nearby 6 movie theatre. Everything was absolutely perfect. We recommend this home to everyone. It was terrific.

FABULOUS FIND

This home was an absolute fabulous find. The amenities this home offered our family was outstanding. Starting with the owner who was extremely accommodating. She helped us find our way around the Hamptons. It was our first time here. She organized several family functions for us, all without any charge. The house was very large and very full with out huge extended family. All the beds were made with clean crisp linens when we arrived. Tons of towels were in all the bathrooms. Our family did not need to scramble for any of these at all. The kitchen came equipped with an excessive amount of dishes and glasses. There were even margarita glasses and wine stemware. We arrived very late and did not see the pool when we arrived. We woke the next morning to a sparkling clean very very large pool. What a treat it was for my daughters to just run and jump in. My boys played basketball on the paved basketball court. My husband, sister-in-law and brother all played volleyball. This was a fabulous home at a very reasonable rate. I know, I checked out lots of other homes on the internet and this one surpassed our expectations. I am certain our family will be renting this home again. We would recommend this home to anyone looking to a huge home, at a great rate and with all the amenities that were there. Needless to say, we loved our vacation and this home.

our vacation was perfect in 2011 and we have already booked for 2012. the house was private, beautifully decorated and immaculate. catching up on my rest and time with family and friends by the gorgeous pool was just what i needed. i played volleyball, my kids played basketball and the evening were enjoyed in the wonderful recreation room outfitted with all the games and tables any kid could want. i can't wait to do it again. my family and i would highly recommend this home. it was the perfect vacation get away. see you all next summer.

Immaculate Accomadations

The house was spotlessly clean and perfectly suited for our large family. The owner was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. The decor was beautiful, the kitchen was fully eqipped and the house was very well located. We could walk to town or walk to the bay beach. From the moment the owner welcomed us, the entire vacation lived up to our high expectations. Our whole family felt at home.

SO ROMANTIC, SO FUN, SO PERFECT

This home was the perfect vacation home. The pictures on line don't do this house justice. The home is really big, beautifully appointed and spotlessly kept. The owner tells me that she changes the shower liners every month just to keep things clean and fresh. We found the sheets clean. Tons and tons of bath towels. Lots of everything. It was so relaxing to soak in the hot tub after a day with the kids. My husband and I revisted our relationship here. Watching the sunsets over the sand beach volleyball court, soaking in the tub with a glass of wine and taking long walks in the evening, made us find that sparkling romance we once had rekindle itself. This was just wonderful. The kids were busy all day long with the basketball court, pool and beach volleyball court. At night they loved the recreation room with billiards and ping pong. My girls asked: "why can't we have a 42" plasma tv in every bedroom" at our home. This was a plus as they did not fight over what to watch. The large dvd library was a great plus for us. The owner helped us with reservations as well as pointers on the area and what to do. This certainly was the best vacation we ever had.

We even provide a 16 page email which gives our guests a birds eye view of things to do in our area. Our home is so well appointed that that a family can spend their entire vacation just at the home. But, golf, tennis, horseback riding as well as many more activities are in the area. The restaurants are extraordinary and you can sit and eat right on the water. What a wonderful vacation can be had by all.

GREAT GETAWAY

The house was perfectly situated in a quiet residential neighborhood and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The spacious backyard was perfect for a a large group, but it also made for a relaxing getaway. None of us wanted to leave this beautiful house.

My Greatest Vacation Ever

I have never been to the Hamptons before and I didn't have a clue as what to do out there. The home owner made sure that everything we needed to know about the Hamptons was available to us. Also, the homeowner provided all the amenities to make us feel right at home. We were provide with a book containing different restaurants, place to go and to see. I will definitely be going back to the Hamptons again. We had a great time and would highly reccommend this house.
